OBJECTIVE:    

Graphic arts and computer professional seeking a position with an art-related, graphic design, or multimedia company in the Monmouth County area or a freelance opportunity.

 

SUMMARY:    

• Eight years of design experience both in a freelance position and in a fast-paced

  corporate environment planning and creating graphics, animations and other visual

  material for proposals, brochures, logos, invitations, posters, flyers, websites,  

  emails, hand-outs, PowerPoint presentations, important documents, and table top

  displays, to advertise clients’ services and events.

• Experienced in coordinating and planning with clients and coworkers, creating

  templates, timelines, mock-ups and layouts for their review, maintaining a database

  of over 1,000 images for coworkers and clients, and performing in-depth research

  for various projects.

• Obtained a United States Government “Secret” security clearance. 

• Conversant with artistic and graphic design media, color and design theory,

   materials, and techniques.

• Experienced with Windows, Mac, MS Office, Internet technologies, Social Media,

  and the Adobe Suite especially Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.    

  Familiar with Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, basic HTML5 and CSS writing/editing,

  Accessibility and 508 Compliance with websites and graphics, basic UX design

  principles for web, mobile, and apps, and video editing in AfterEffects and Sony

  Vegas Pro.

Graphic Artist, The Tauri Group, May 2014 (to present)

• Provides graphics content including infographics, templates, and information   layouts, for reports, proposals, PowerPoint presentations and other projects     for clients of The Tauri Group, including NASA. 


Education Graphic Designer and Volunteer, Museum of Science Fiction, January 2014 (to present)

• Volunteering with others on starting the Museum of Science Fiction, a project   still in development, by creating graphics and doing research for future        

  exhibits, marketing, awareness and other educational material.  

Freelance Design, June 2011 (to present)

• Various projects such as logo design and YouTube layout and other web designs,        including designing the logo for the company, E-Cycling.

 

Graphic Artist, Avaya Government Solutions, July 2009 to June 2011

• Working for U.S. Government clients, developed marketing and display formats and    graphic content in the information security area, as outlined above.

• Collaborated with internal groups to refine visual concepts; presented alternative    

   solutions that were incorporated in the final presentations. 

• Created a series of innovative exhibition materials for a critical conference,

   receiving the ISD Merit Award for "outstanding contributions…to the Federal

   Information Systems Security Educator's Association conference."

• Conducted in-depth research of graphic options and related information for

   inclusion in a variety of internal reports, training materials, and client proposals.

 

Freelance Design, 2008 to 2011

• Performed various graphics work, including collaborating with client to create  

   vision and designs in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for a children’s storybook.
